  1. Hey Tom!

    It’s Taylor here!
I know it has been awhile since I’ve last commented on your podcast! Just to let you know, despite the absence of comments I am still listening and ENJOY listening to your podcast… Hope that is a good enough motivation to keep you carrying on to podcast! :)

Anyway. about the issue of Thais saving face, I so totally agree on that! I remember last Friday, I was lunching with one of my friend at a restaurant ran by Thai, we were exposed to the wrath of a Thai trying to save face!
The waitress had our order wrong and insisted that we had ordered the Thai fried rice instead of the Pad Thai. She was so strong with her attitude and kept arguing with us that she was right. We had no choice but to ask for the manager and request to have a look at the order she had wrote down! So the manager went to double check the order and realized that indeed she had our orders wrong and had her take back the fried rice. When she serve our Pad Thai moments later, she literally threw and slide the plate on our table and then walk off! The plate slammed the table so loudly that the whole restaurant was staring at our table! Geez! Talking about the Land of Smiles eh? hahaha! :)

Hmmmm, Tom, since you like questions from the listeners, I have a question for you!
I recently met a guy that had lived in Thailand for close to 8 years. He told me that Thai men don’t like to french kiss! Instead, they do this thing where they “sniff” the face of the partner… Is that true? And if it is, why? haha!
    That really puzzled me… :P

Anyway! Nice to see you to be back on the podcasting mood and remember, even though we may not be leaving comments, but we still out there hanging on and looking forward to your podcast!

    Lots of love from Singapore,
    Taylor.
